Prediction for Academy Awards 2012

Academy Awards or better known as Oscars is just around the corner, so just like last year Im gonna make a quick prediction for this year winner. I had some privilege (all thanks to dvd industry in Indonesia) to watched some of the movies from the nomination, so hopefully I got better prediction than last year, and also I'll try not to make it personal. I mean, of course everybody wants their favourite actors and movies to win but not that simple and there's a lot of reasons that have to be considered. So here are my simple prediction :

Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role :

Jean Dujardin for The Artist

Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role :

Meryl Streep for The Iron Lady

Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role :

Christopher Plummer for Beginners 

Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role :

Octavia Spencer for The Help 

Best Achievement in Directing :

Alexander Payne for The Descendants (2011)

Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen :

Midnight in Paris (2011): Woody Allen

Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material Previously Produced or Published :

The Descendants (2011): Alexander Payne, Nat Faxon, Jim Rash

Best Animated Feature Film of the Year :

Rango (2011): Gore Verbinski

Best Foreign Language Film of the Year :

A Separation (2011): Asghar Farhadi(Iran)
